DB-Raw's City Tips

  • • Look for ways components of your trip can fit together. For instance, have a meal on the riverboat excursion.
  • • Don't try to do everything on a list. Instead, sort out things to do/places to eat by everyone's interest.
  • • Try to build consensus on what to do or give teenagers a choice of one thing to do everyday so they feel invested in the trip.
  • • Keep everyone fed and watered to minimize crankiness.
  • • Wear good shoes.
  • • Find a centrally located hotel and you will be able to make short walking loops or be able to drop someone off if they get tired or, in the case of our teenager, need a video game fix.
