Boston in summer by foot and by water

92%
Found this guide helpful

Boston is easy to walk and there are several options for water views and/or tours. These are some of my favorite things to do in town when the weather is good.

This park is home to the famous swan boats which are people powered and very popular with kids. Also home to the Make Way for Ducklings statue. Flowers bloom throughout the spring to fall.

This is tourist central but also the birth place of the American Revolution. Faneuil Hall itself is usually quiet and easy to visit. There are park rangers inside to answer questions. The large Quincy Market buildings house eating places and shops. The central building has every kind of food for take out. There are often sidewalk performers and there are also sit-down restaurants.

This is the place to go for Italian food. Narrow streets, cafes open to the street in summer. Dessert cafes too. The Freedom trail also passes through here. Two pastry shops have lines down the sidewalk on summer evening. Mike's and Modern.
