Being the worlds tallest building this is a must see and number one attraction in Dubai. Looking up at the burj is fascinating and the views looking down are even more incredible. There are tours throughout the day starting at sunrise that take you up to the 148th floor where you can enjoy views of the city from the observation deck. Through out the tour you can learn about the building process and how it was completed. Access to the tour entrance is in the lower level of Dubai Mall.
The mall is located next to Burj khalifa and this is a great place to shop at one of the biggest malls in the world. With so many stores and brands to choose from it is easy to find what you are looking for and shop till you drop. The mall also offers a range of activities including ice skating, cinema, aquarium, kids play areas and dancing fountains.
The aquarium is located in Dubai mall and you do not need a entrance ticket to see it. However an entrance ticket is needed to go through the tunnel which has sharks and string rays swimming all around it as well as going up to the underwater zoo. The zoo is really cool, you get to see all the different types of animals and my personal favorite the penguins and sea otters. Right now also on display is king croc. For an extra charge you can even take a ride in a glass boat inside the aquarium.
This is a nice souk located just across the bridge from Dubai mall. The architectural style inside is oriental and there are little shops selling souvenirs, rugs, pashminas and perfumes. Prices in the shops are a little expensive but you can still negotiate lower prices. I would buy souvenirs from the old souk. There are also restaurants and cafes in the souk with fountain views that are good for lunch or dinner.
The fountains are a must see in Dubai and conveniently located next to Dubai mall. They are the worlds largest dancing fountains that dance to a wide variety of music. They start at 6 pm and run every half an hour until 11 pm. Its a great experience and amazing place to take pictures.
The food here is delicious middle eastern cuisine with a wide variety to choose from. The service is also good and the atmosphere is nice. It is located on the boulevard in downtown Dubai walking distance from Dubai mall so a great place to have diner after a day of shopping. They also have a section for shisha. After diner going for a walk along the boulevard is great to further enjoy the city atmosphere.
A must see on your visit to Dubai. You can enjoy a nice walk through the garden and take a lot of colorful pictures. The flower designs and structures are really amazing, there is even one of Burj khalifa. Ticket prices are 30AED per person.
This is another great mall for shopping as it is has alot of stores but usually less crowded than Dubai mall with all the tourists. You can find a range of brands from everyday to luxury. There are also numerous restaurants to enjoy lunch at the mall. The mall also has ski Dubai, even if you are not going to ski its nice to watch.
A great change from the Dubai heat, you can enjoy snow in the desert as well with this ski park located in Mall of the Emirates. It has skiing, snowboarding and a kids play area and you can even have a chance to see some penguins. Its a great place to pick a few skills and enjoy with your family and friends.
Going on a desert safari is a unique experience for anyone visiting Dubai. A ride in the sand dunes can feel like a roller coaster at times. An evening tour allows you to see the sunset which can be amazing if skies are clear. The tour usually includes going to a camp site where camel rides are set up, traditional clothing to try on, dinner buffet and a show.
This is really a great place you defiantly get a different vibe than the rest of the city. There is a public beach to sit, relax and enjoy the sun and water. There are plenty of restaurants along the walkway with great views of the beach. One can really spend the day here swimming, grabbing something to eat and enjoying a walk down the street.
Apart from being a guest at the hotel, you can only go inside if you are with a tour or have a reservation at a restaurant. Afternoon tea is popular and you can enjoy the relaxing atmosphere, see the hotel and take pictures. Views of the burj are nice from madinat jumeirah if you just want a nice picture.
