This is one of the more upscale joints in Boracay, but it still has the carefree vibe that people have come to associate with a party beach. And that's what Epic is...one big party. Folks flock here to dance their hearts out to the DJs' eclectic music selection. Even if you walk in alone, you'll leave with new friends from all over, because there's nothing like moving to the groove to bond people together. And even if you're not one for dancing, you can still take in the sounds and watch others bust a move.
Exit's laid-back atmosphere draws in a diverse crowd of locals, foreign tourists, and expats, and the bar's native design of nipa and bamboo certainly adds to the ambiance. Don't think Exit is just for chilling however. On some nights, music is pumping loud enough to get patrons dancing on the sand, and on other nights, a live band beats out great tunes on its drums. No two nights are the same at Exit, and this unpredictability is a big part of its charm.
While other bars and pubs are closing for the night, expect Summer Place to continue thriving all the way into the wee hours of the next morning. (Those who can't get their fix in other bars usually end up here for a last-minute drink and dance.) The crowd here consists mostly of international folks, and the music is mostly a mainstream affair, but if you like meeting people from different countries and dancing to the latest Top 40 hits, then Summer Place is the place for you.
Cocomangas is one of the most well-known bars in Boracay. Not only has it been around for a long time, but it's also home to the 'Still Standing After 15' challenge. As the name suggests, the challenge dares guests to down 15 shots of different kinds of spirits. If you manage to see this task to the end, your name will be engraved on the wall and your country will get another number on the scoreboard. On top of that, you'll also receive a free shirt or jersey. Even if you're not going to do the challenge however, you can still enjoy the bohemian vibe of the bar, lay back on its huge pillow cushions, and watch the people crazy enough to sign up!
This pub doesn't have much glitz or glamor, but it does have plenty of idyllic charm to win you over. The bar area is small and rustic, but you can head to the garden to enjoy your drinks — if you're lucky, you might even find a vacant hammock there, where you can chill for the rest of the night. Live music is on the repertoire too, and reggae is the pub's favorite genre, but don't expect much in the way of dancing. The ambiance here is very casual and relaxed, meaning it's more of a watering hole than a club, but it does give you the opportunity to talk to locals and tourists, and maybe come away with some new friends.
Juice Bar is the place both foreign and local tourists flock to for the ultimate beach party atmosphere. Located at Plazoleta near Station 2, this bar is also known for its flaming cocktails, colorful lights, beanbag chairs, and sand dance floor. The music is mostly RnB, although DJs also play house and hip-hop to get people up dancing (which you can expect to start happening at around 10pm).
If your idea of good nightlife is relaxing instead of partying, then you'll find refuge in this unique bar that's just starting to get attention from tourists. Located in Station 3, Once Upon a Time in Boracay is more of a creative space than anything else. There's an art gallery and a quaint garden to inspire your inner artist, and board games such as Jenga and Twister to please your inner kid. Plus, if you want more in the way of entertainment options, there's also an open-air cinema with a viewing area is filled with soft throw pillows — 'the' place to relax and see a movie!
Do you want to try out the best of Boracay nightlife but don't know where to start? Do you wish there was someone who could personally join you on your bar-hopping quest? Then Boracay PubCrawl is the activity for you. This tour puts people together into a big group, headed by a captain, and takes them to the hottest bars on the island. During the crawl, participants — all dressed in yellow shirts with the tour logo — get access to drink specials and soon 'turn strangers into friends.' It's a fun experience that you must try at least once!
