There is something for everyone at Margaritaville from The Lone Palm Airport, the newest addition featuring Jimmy Buffettâs very own seaplane, tiki bar, and kids play area, to the many themed areas including the Volcano Bar complete with a giant margarita exploding volcano. The outdoor dining area, The Porch of Indecision, is a place where guests can sing along to Buffett tunes, socialize with friends and enjoy our daily happy hour. • 9. Siesta Key Public Beach

  • 10. Casey Key & Pop's Sunset Grill

Just south of Siesta Key is incredible Casey Key. Here is how to enjoy it! Take Blackburn Point Road off of 41 on to Casey Key. Turn south on the island and wind your way down through the beautiful mansions and old Florida bungalows. This is quite a sight at sunset or just after. When you get to the south bridge, turn left over the intracoastal waterway and then take a quick right and head back behind the boathouse to Pop's Sunset Grill. This is a local favorite with basket food, and open air dining, right on the intracoastal. Enjoy watching boats cruise by, or toss over little bites of bread to the fish below. Kids love it and adults do to. Very casual, very old Florida and very fun. Live music sometimes.

You are blessed if you have Miss RosaMarie serving you. Trust me, she wasn't named the best waitress in South Florida's City Link Magazine for nothing! She will keep you entertained from the time you sit down to the time you pay your bill. Just bring a thick skin, because she has a sense of humor and likes to flirt! :)

  • 21. I75

nterstate I75 from Fort Lauderdale to Naples!
Drive from coast to coast in 2 hours and experience the "river of grass". The nature is ever changing and the sky is endless. Pass the toll both and start you journey over South Florida. Next to the road are the canals filled with bass and cat fish. Fishermen and tourists explore the waterways in Everglades by boat. If you are hungry for quiet time and fishing in the wilderness, there are many places to launch you boat. Bring sunglasses, sun lotion and insect repellent. The tourist may opt for an airboat tour. Sit back and hold on to your hat! The roaring engines takes you out in the sawgrass to meet alligators in their own habitat. Along the way you see the nature change from sawgrass to cypress and palm forest. Alligators rest on the banks of the canals, while egrets, herons and birds are visiting the trees. The exciting Anhinga (a beautiful bird) is spreading their wings in the sun to dry after a successful fishing trip. A side trip to the Indian Reservation may be interesting. Here you can learn more about Everglades, their native people and the interesting nature and wildlife. At first sight, you may not see all the wonders of life in Everglades, but it is a whole world of interesting and unique life in Everglades. It's been here for millions of years and today we can drive through it. Buy a bird guide, buy a map and read about Everglades. Learn before you go, and you will find this ride from east to west a very rewarding drive. The East coast is a large metropolitan area with Fort Lauderdale and Miami on center stage, The Westcoast with Naples, Marco Island, Bonita Springs and Fort Myers offer quiet and relaxing vaction spots with excellent beaches. In between, you find Everglades and the unspoiled land. Take the drive!

  • 22. Jungle Queen Riverboat

Ever since I can remember..if anyone came to visit us in Ft Lauderdale, we had to go on the Jungle Queen riverboat! It really is fun if you have never gone...The boat leaves from Ft Lauderdale Beach/Intracoastal..and takes you through the waterways by all the mansions..and I mean Mansions! You get the history of the area and other stories..it is relaxing, and they take you to a Seminole Indian reserve where you can see birds, wildlife, gardens, alligator wrestling etc..takes you back to "old florida".
