Stay here, and you can get into selected parks an hour before it officially opens, and hour after it officially closes at another selected park. There are also free Disney shuttles to get you there - but beware! sometimes, it doesn't come on time. If that happens, run to the front, and have a driver take you there. It's well worth the money to get there before the crowds. This hotel is also within walking distance to downtown Disney so you can always hang out there or hop a shuttle back to downtown Disney to get to the hotel also. One other tip: they are always trying to sell you a time share - even at the concierge desk! Don't waste your time! You can eat at one of the many chain restaurants just outside of the resort if you have a car.
Food at Disneyworld is expensive! Bring snacks. Another cheap eat option is to order a kids meal. Particularly in Epcot, at "Land" in Future World, there are a variety of "kids" meals, that are large enough (and healthy) for lunch. I ordered one there with a chicken leg, side, apple sauce, and drink for $4. Other places would probably have this option also. Also, Disney has partenered up with McDonalds so they have little McDonalds stands around the park where you can get reasonably priced fries.
3. Buy multi-day passes at Disney - come back later
If you know that you'll visit Disney again (any time - ever) buy a multi-day pass. These tickets DO NOT expire. I've used some that were purchased 10 years ago! This way you can park hop while you are visiting, and you can save money the next time you go, since prices will probably be higher then (make sure you read the fine print before purchasing, there are a couple of multi-day passes that expire 30 days afterwards).
4. Good dining option in downtown Disney: Earl of Sandwich
The Earl of Sandwich in downtown Disney has very good sandwiches at affordable prices. They serve a variety of hot and cold sandwiches, soups, salads, and also have a coffee area. They are open later than other places there (good for when you are coming back from the park)
5. best place at Disney to get cheap souvenirs
If you need to get some souvenirs on Disney property, you can get mostly anything you've seen in the parks at the large downtown Disney store, which has things ranging from housewares, to sporting goods, to collectibles. There is also a small shop nearer the Rainforest Cafe that has only clearance and sale items.
