I wanna create this list for someone who has never been to Saigon, Vietnam or has been to but want to explore few more options that were missed from previous trips. The list includes restaurants, massage places, tour, etc. for few days in Saigon. This list is just my opinion and I am sure you will find some other places that you visit during your time in and around Saigon that beat my recommendations. Hope you have a safe and fun trip!!!
1. Sinh Cafe (Tour Company to visit every parts of the country)
246 De Tham street. Locates in the middle of the backpack area. Ask the taxi driver to take you to that exact location, not other Sinh "Something" as someone else may use the Sinh Cafe name to earn business as it is a popular, affordable, and reliable Tour Company in Vietnam. I have used this company few times myself. I hate to see the foreigners coming to visit the beautiful country of Vietnam and get scammed by a few bad apples. The company started out as a cafe, but evolved into a very good tour company more than 10 years ago. The company is used by foreigners mostly.
This tour will give a quick glance of what Saigon is. Need to book few weeks in advance as it is very popular. I tried to book only few days prior and was rejected. they are sticking to their policy for staying in small group of 10 to achieve customer satisfactions.
This restaurant prepares dishes with Hue (central region of Vietnam) flavors. Each dish is kind of small so one can try two different dishes or order various dishes and share if you have a big group.
This place is hard to find. Ask the taxi to take you to 136 Le Thanh Ton. It is across from Ben Thanh Market. You get to go into an alley way at 136 Le Thanh Ton street. The end of the alley way is the restaurant.
