This list is about all that I saw in Egypt during my tour. We booked our tour at a travel agency called Nile Travel (a dutch site). They hired a local agency called Sakkara Tours to provide us with guids. The guides speak good english and also other languages. Both very good and experienced agencies.
As said, this list contains everything I saw. If needed I placed tips, do's or don'ts with the attraction. Would you like to know more about what I think about these attractions, check out my reviews.
If you are blond with blue/geen eyes, be prepared to be stared at. People think that is real beauty. They take pictures (don't always ask) or would like to shake your hand.
November is the month in which starts in high season in Egypt. I believe it is always high season in Egypt. Everyone is going at any time of the year. People told us because of the revolution people stayed home. So it wasn't very touristy at all. We decided to make a tour trough Egypt because the temperature is less hot.
Which makes it easier to walk around and see things. But the temperatures were still around 25-30 degrees day time. In the evening it's starting to get chilly so make sure you bring a jacket or a warm vest.
For those who think it is dangerous to visit Egypt after the revolution. We didn't felt in danger at all in Egypt. People are very friendly and helpful. Very chatty. Yes, lots of them wanna sell things, but smile and say no thanks. Just go to this beautiful country and enjoy its kind people and history.
Bring some extra cash along so you can buy a ticket for entering one of the pyramids. Price in nov 2011: 100 LE. Unable to pay with euro's. Go into the desert where there is a place where you can take pictures of all three pyramids. Visit the Sound and Light Show
Have a walk trough Luxor, or take a carriage. Even in the evening it is save. If you would like to do excursions here, make it local. Buying an excursion at your travel agency is 3 times more expensive then a local men with a carriage. You will see the same stuff.
