Barbados Best Kept Secret

Jun 5, 2009  Get away from it all!!

Its been said that you can't swim on the eastern side of Barbados but I've got news for you - that's not true of Bath St John. Now the new access road has been done you can get there quite easily. There's a wonderful view of the sea and Pico Tenerife as you drive down. Its a lovely morning I'm going to pamper myself with a morning dip at Bath. There are brand new beach facilities, picnic area, play park for the children and a place to get drinks and snack and plenty of parking what more could you want for a brilliant day out. Once I've parked I make my way to the water this is sooooo warm actually warmer than the caribbean but thats another well kept secret. The beach is a lagoon with gentle waves lapping over the sand. After a couple of dips its a walk along the beach one way there are a few beach houses the other way you eventually come to Consett Bay. What a refreshing breeze!! away from the hustle and bustle of town this is a real tonic. So calming just looking out to sea. At weekends this is a well known local picnic area you will see them with their big pots and trays of baked chicken and pork. This is paradise away from the glitz and glamour just natural beauty of Barbados. There is a lifeguard station at Bath for your safety.
