What child doesn't want to go to an amusement park. Wonderland is the largest amusement park in Canada. It has something for everyone and it is not all that far from downtown Toronto. Depending on traffic conditions of course, but on a good day it is about a 45 minute drive. Kids will love spending a day here!
The tallest free standing structure in the world is a great and unforgettable place to bring the kids when you are in Toronto. There is a restaurant as well and a glass floor that kids seem to love. The number one tourist attraction in Toronto is not to be missed.
The Ontario Science Centre is another attraction in the Toronto area, that kids love. There is so much for kids to do here and parent's will enjoy it as well. They often have special exhibits to add to their already amazing experiences that you will discover here.
What child doesn't want to go to a castle when they are on vacation. Casa Loma is a gorgeous structure and a wonderful place to visit for an afternoon. The enormous home built in the early 1900's can be toured from the stables to the top floor and look out tower. There is a little cafe in the basement if your kids want a bite to eat while you are there. Plan to bring your camera...the gardens and outside of the structure make for wonderful pictures to bring home with you.
Another attraction in Toronto for the entire family, is Black Creek Pioneer Village. It is like stepping back in history, spending a day here. The village has a lot to offer, and kids will get a kick out of seeing how people lived all those years ago. Just make sure you don't bring the children here if it is a super hot day, as that can be uncomfortable for them.
