Nicely located on street with several good restaurants nearby, including pizzeria voted tops, and a great coffee house. Walk from here to Seattle Center in ten minutes. Walk to Olympic Sculpture Park in fifteen, downtown in half an hour; or take #13 bus, which stops one block from front door. Excellent service; rooms clean, upper floors have great views.
One of the world's most unusual libraries, outside and in. Spacious reading galleries, well lit with skylights; odd but interesting sloping ramps lead through main section of shelving; computer access for patrons; be sure to see the all-red meeting rooms floor--it feels as if you are in womb/heart/spaceship.
Good, no, great food at very reasonable prices; lunch menu includes several creative salads, monster sloppy joe burger. Like everywhere, good espresso. Seattle runs on caffeine. Neat neighbourhood on nearby Broadway with interesting clothing, music, furniture and book shops within several blocks.
