  • 1. Perfect rooms - Sheraton Myrtle Beach Convention Center Hotel

Great pool for the kids, wonderful/relaxing bar. The king-suite you'll never want to leave, the most comfortable beds - huge pillows, pillow-topped mattresses with down comforters! Right between the beach and Broadway on the Beach - the mecca of entertainment for the whole family. Bike-friendly, plenty of trailer-parking space in the convention center lot, which is attached to the hotel.

  • 2. Broadway at the Beach

Shops, restaurants, bars, entertainment and fun for kids of all ages... you name it. Make sure to check out website for lists of venues AND tons of online coupons!!! Easy to spend an entire day there...or two! Must stop in at Fat Tuesday's and try the 180 Octane - called Chopper Fuel during Bike Week, instant happy juice in a glass! Yamoto's - best sushi on the beach! Does draw big crowds - make sure to call ahead for reservations - 843-448-1959. Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville, Tony Roma's Ribs, Senor Frog's, Joe's CrabShack - all the top restaurants in one spot. Even opened a KISS-themed rock-n-roll coffeehouse! Make sure to take the kids to the IMAX Discovery Theatre - all of this in ONE spot. Your only problem will be getting the kids to go back to the hotel....

  • 3. Best Pizza and Subs on the Beach - Ali Baba's - 211 S Ocean Blvd.

GIVING AWAY A BEACH SECRET! 29577 (843) 946-6253. Great pizza, subs. Owner is the best - come back several months later and he'll still remember your order! MacAdoo's Bar two doors down - great little beach bar and right on the ocean. Have lunch - stop in there for a cocktail while the kids play on the beach.

  • 4. NASCAR Cafe - 1808 21st Ave N.

Great food but even better, race the go-carts on the track out back! OR check out the Grand Prix Family Thrill Park at 3023 Church St 5.

  • 5. Hot Day - hit Myrtle Waves Water Park...US 17 Bypass at 10th Ave North

Biggest water park I've ever seen, 3 blocks long, maybe more? Just amazing!

  • 6. Night time - Dixie Stampede Dinner Show

Huge dinner show, live horses, music - just an awesome way to spend a night. Discounts for groups online - make sure to check out website prior to going.

  • 7. Best Sports Bar - Melon's Bar & Grill, 205 N. Kings Hwy

The Carney's bought this place summer 2005 - total renovation. Great atmosphere, tons of huge video screens with sporting events, several pool tables, tons of video games for kids, and great food. Ask for Mike or Lindsay!

  • 8. Shopping Must! Coach Outlet - 4633 Factory Stores Blvd

Best shopping on the beach, most tourists don't even know its there - tons of outlet stores, but the Coach Outlet is a frequent stop for us. PLUS its close to Carrabba's italian restaurant, great stop for dinner after shopping!
