Spiritual, Mystical & The Absolutely Absurd

Jul 6, 2007  lifelong pursuit of the magical
4.0 of 5 bubbles based on 2 votes

When I travel I look for several things but the one that always keeps me interested is searching for the spiritual and the mystical. It may be a great card reader, an exquiste garden to meditate in, or an outrageous event whatever it ends up being it is always something I will never forget.

  • 1. Ghost Tours in Old Town Albuquerque, New MExico

Lots of fun and ghostly visits during the full moon tour I took last year. A great way to learn some of the history of the area and enjoy an evening. Guide was knowledgable and knew how to get the fear level up. Fun time!

  • 2. A Tarot Card Reading at Local Festival

I stayed at a hotel in downtown Albuquerque that had a small park next to it and discovered a local food market setup there on Saturday mornings. I love getting my palm read or my cards when I am away from home and roaming around the planet. I just seem to make better choices when I do this outside of my comfort zone. The card reader there was dead on and a great find. She gave me her card with her website address and it appears that she does hourly readings as well as the quick ones at this marketplace.

  • 3. UFO Festival in Roswell

Roswell is one of those places thats easy to get to even though it's not like there are other reasons to be in that area but it is just so bizarre that it's worth the trip. It happens every year and it's been several since I was there but I plan on going back. It's one of the craziest places I have ever visited. Looks like a bizarre place even when there is no festival. Locals in alien costumes and the greatest souvenirs ever!
