Moderate to upscale yet fun for everyone! Shop the 'streets' of this surprisingly well laid out shopping area. Designed like an 'old time' main street area with music gently playing in the background, you can walk, eat and shop for a day or two! Combined with the recently constructed Cultural Center (see a play while you are there) and the AMC theater, it is a great place for a Girls Weekend or a serious shopper. Crate & Barrel, Macys, Abercrombie & Fitch, Bebe, Brighton, Guess, Gap, Ann Taylor Loft, & Chicos are just a few of the stores located here. Also located here is a JC Penneys, Bombey Co., Kirkland Home Store, Payless Shoes and Anchor Blue. Food choices are moderate priced 'chains' (Yard House, California Pizza Kitchen, Cheesecake Factory, etc.) with a few eat-and-run places (Corner Bakery) tossed in, as well as the usual food court (located in its own building). The BASS Fishing 'store' is opening here soon...I hear it is a destination in itself! What is missing? There is not yet a hotel adjacent to the center which would then make this a perfect girls weekend place to go! Also, a drug store would be nice and if it is raining, well...it is 'outdoors" so come prepared!
This mall is a place to shop for discounts and has a movie theater and some outlying chain restaurants (Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Chevy's, McDonalds, etc.). JC Penny Outlet, the Rack and the other usual outlet shops abound. Many of the outlets here correspond with the major stores at V. Gardens. It is laid out like a 'racetrack' and many use it as a venue to exercise and they even have a walkers club! You can grab some good prices...if you shop carefully. There is an Inn located in the parking lot for multi-day stays and a few hotels just a 1/4 mile or so away. The Mills is located at the junction of the 10/15 freeways and is about a mile or two from Victoria Gardens.
About 30 minutes east of the Rancho/Ontario area is a wonderful little city known as Redlands. This area is host to a lot of Antique stores and the downtown Redlands area is quaint and a pleasant place to shop! Some places to eat are noted here: http://redlands marketnight .com
Okay, while not in the Inland Empire Proper, I must add this destination which is so close to the I.E. and shoppers around here have taken day trips to shop here! The best in outlet shopping, this center which is divided into 3 sections will keep you busy all day. One of the best outlets is the Crate & Barrel outlet. Van Huessen also has great deals as does Guess and the GAP store. So much to choose from. Drawbacks? Dining is non-exisitant, but a RUBY's diner is currently being built and there is lodging and dining next door at the Morongo casino. The Hadley's date nut shakes have been a long time staple in the area and the Crazy Coyote taco stand is pretty good if you want to grab grub to go.
Similar to the outlets at Cabazon, this center is a great place to stop in and shop for your discount needs! There is a variety of stores here and not just apparel outlets. Also I think Tuesdays are discount days for Seniors!
6. JC Penny Furniture Outlet
Located at 8443 Haven Ave. Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730 (909.483.1655), this store offers discounted furniture from the JC Penny catalog company. Returns, overstock, damaged items, etc. Many have found bargins here.
They advertise 'buy it today and get it delivered tonight.' Many folks in the I.E. have done this and the clearance center is located adjacent to the main store (which is an old Price Club building). Again, you need to shop carefully and hopefully you can find a deal on moderate furnishings for your home.
