CARTA, the public trolleys, are now free. There are also pedi-cabs and horse-drawn carriages for rent. Or for a more whimsical ride, instead of horses you can ride in a carriage drawn by mules. In addition, there are several taxi companies that serve the Charleston area. And, of course, you can always rent a car. Traffic is a little heavy at times, depending on what time of day you're on the road.

There is so much to do in the city, you'll be glad you took a Charleston flight. In the spring is Piccolo Spoleto, a world-famous arts festival based on the festival in Spoleto, Italy. Both fine and performing arts are represented. The South Carolina Aquarium is located here and provides both education and entertainment. There are walking tours of historical Charleston where you might even hear a ghost story or two. Plus, being on the coast, you aren't far from the beach if you'd like to have a day in the sun.
