There are many malls in the Charlotte area to choose from, but if you are looking for something a little more unique, the Dilworth and Plaza-Midwood areas are worth exploring. There are also many flea markets scattered around Charlotte.
Southern cooking and barbecue restaurants are predominant in Charlotte. Surprisingly, some of Charlotte's older restaurants are owned by Greek families, and you will find some Greek cuisine on an otherwise American menu from time to time. For a fun night out, check out one of the many sports bars, or stop by Whisky River, owned by NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt, Jr., featuring dancing and live entertainment.
