Krabi, the capital of the Krabi Province in Thailand, can be reached on flights to Krabi International Airport (KBV), which is located 15 kilometers from the city center. The airport is home to numerous car rental companies— ideal for tourists landing on Krabi flights. Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt are among the car rental firms available. Krabi Limousine operates a desk inside of the airport. The company provides a “limousine taxi" to the city center. A comfortable, air-conditioned airport bus service connects tourists to Krabi Town, Ao Nang and Noppharat Thara Beach. The buses’ schedules are determined by the flight arrivals schedule.

Getting Around Krabi

To get around Krabi, tourists can use a songthaew or a taxi. A songthaew, or baht bus, is a passenger vehicle that has been adapted from a pick-up truck. Songthaews are used as shared taxis. You can find a songthaew stop at Maharaj Soi 7. The blue-colored songthaews go to Tesco Lotus and a variety of other out-of-town destinations. The brown-colored songthaews go to the bus station. Blue-colored songthaews featuring white, yellow, or red stripes go to the airport. White-colored songthaews go to Ao Nang. When you’re riding a songthaew, you must push the button to inform the driver that you wish to stop.
