Arriving in Port-of-Spain

After your flight to Port-of-Spain has landed you will immediately feel the warmth of the islands at the Piarco International Airport. Visitors need a valid passport, and a visa is required for citizens of some countries. A TT$ 100.00 departure tax is required of everyone departing on Port-of-Spain flights, payable in either local TT currency or USD. At the airport a special ATM machine is installed where the departure tax may be paid.

Getting Around Port-of-Spain

Several viable transportation options make travel within the city and between Trinidad and Tobago easy and fun. Travelers who are not in any hurry may enjoy the interisland ferry.
