Getting Around Curacao

There are two types of buses on the island, BUS and Konvoi. BUS is a 9-12 passenger van that resembles a taxi, while Konvoi are larger metro style buses that run infrequently from various points of interest. Keep in mind that if you take the BUS system, while it may look like a taxi, the prices aren't negotiable. Taxis are also widely available, but it is always a good idea to agree on the fee before heading out. Ferries are available and can prove to be useful for getting to and from some of the island's shopping areas. Car rental is very popular in Curacao and is a great option if you want to explore on your own.
