I would like to know if we just show up for lunch after a "Quiet Man" walking tour on Friday, April 24, or do we make reservations? Thanks
Hi. Thanks for your query. You can just show up or just to be sure of a table, pop in to us just before your tour. We are a couple of doors down from the museum.
As above comment.
Thanks to everyone for thie helpful answers. It is nice to know that I probably will not need a reservation. But I will check with the Cafe before the tour to be safe.
Well we just came upon this cafe so we didn't have any reservations. If you are arriving in a group you may want to check before hand if possible. There were six of us and we had no issues at all but the cafe isn't huge especially for a large group.Enjoy your lunch and don't forget to try Nanny Butler's scones .Yum!
We just happened to come upon this cafe so we didn't have any reservations and it wasn't a super busy time.Since it isn't a huge place if I were arriving in a group I might try to make contact with them to avoid disappointment. However if there are only a couple of you you should be O.K.
I concur with the previous answers i.e. no need for a reservation unless you are a large party, in which case phone ahead or stop by before your tour, as it's steps away from the Quiet Man statue. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
We have enjoyed a number of visits to The Hungry Monk Cafe without a booking and were well looked after.
As it is after a Quite Man Walking tour it may be best to let them know before hand and be sure to avoid dissapointment.
I suggest to finish off the evening you journey on to Castlebar the evening of Friday,April 24, for a great Fireworks Display for the opening of the Castlebar Carnival .
It's not usually necessary to book for lunch, but, if there are more of you than, say a family group, it would be prudent to phone through first, Enjoy your lunch!
I do not think it is normally necessary to make a lunch-time reservation, but if there are many people taking part in the walking tour they might all head for this popular eatery. Better to be safe than sorry. Noel G
You should be alright at that time of the year without booking.
But as the Quiet Man Cottage is just around the corner you may be able to stop in quickly before your tour stars and check out the options. Enjoy!
