are we allowed to cookout? any grills available at the park?
Yes, there are wonderful picnic areas in Sabino Canyon that have tables and grills. They are often nestled into the terrain and offer privacy. Good grill. Good table. Nearby trash collection, etc. No booze though. ~ I like the grill and table at stop 6 on the tram but there are other pretty ones, too. Just ask for a map in ranger station. So many volunteers in the canyon are there to help make your experience all you want it to be. Did you know there is a sandy beach and a waterfall area up at stop 8? Pretty darn neat.
I make the same assumption that Carla does--that the picnic tables are an indication that grilling is available. Another person has answered with specific details so I'd go with that answer.
I remembered seeing picnic tables so assumed there are also grills. Another traveler answered this with great detail, even telling you which stop was good.
Hi: All above info great. Have a wonderful day in a beautiful place!
Since JoeKidd already knew..I guess its BYO briquettes, starter and tools
I personally did not see anyone cooking but it might be allowed. I'd check their website to answer your question. I'd hate to steer you wrong.
I'm pretty sure you are. There are picnic tables and stationary grills throughout the canyon.
I didn't see anyone cooking, but I smelled great BBQ wafting up the canyon.
To be sure though, I'd check with the website info.
No cookouts but you can bring a picnic and their are numerous picnic table areas
