Thank you for your interest and inquiry about the Renaissance New Orleans Pere Marquette Hotel. The hotel is located one block away from a boarding stop for 2 of the 3 streetcar (trolley) lines in New Orleans (Saint Charles Ave. line, Canal St. line, Riverfront Line). You may board the Saint Charles Ave. streetcar line on the corner of Carondelet St. & Canal St., only one block from the entrance of the hotel. You can also board the Canal St. streetcar line at the median of Canal St. at the intersection of Carondelet St.. Lastly, the Riverfront streetcar line, which is a short linear route, is only about a 10 minute walk from the hotel and can be boarded where Canal St. ends at the Mississippi riverfront. The Saint Charles Ave. line is considered the most picturesque and offers a view of oak trees that canopy over Saint Charles Avenue and its majestic historic homes. The Canal St. line is a wonderful way to see the character and beauty of the Crescent City ending at either the Canal St. cemeteries or at New Orleans City Park near the New Orleans Museum of Art. We hope to see you soon to host your visit.

Trolley are one block away.
The trolley runs down canal street one block away from the hotel
The St. Charles line is now (8/14) fully operational. The line is in walking distance of Pere Marquette for non-impaired guests.
Yes, there is a trolly stop two blocks due south of the hotel, but the lines are a bit tore up along St. Charles Ave right now. I've heard they'll all be back and 100% functional (at least on the St Charles line) in time for the Powell St Festival in late November. Until then, just check the New Orleans transit website for the latest updates.
