We are planning to visit both Boston and Toronto this summer; if we were to visit one aquarium, should it be New England in Boston or Ripley in Toronto?
In my honest opinion I think the aquarium is nice, but very overrated. I’ve been to Ripley’s years ago. Not sure how it is now, so I really cannot give a review.
Never been to Toronto, but do report, if you will go! Boston Aquarium is very interesting. It has more, then I expected to see. Week days are probably less crowded. It is a real treat to see how the fish being fed! Stingrays are the funniest, they get all over diver's face to get food! I loved it! And I pet one or two of those too!
I have not been to Toronto, the Aquarium at Boston is a great day out , lots of different, colourful fishes to see. Definitely worth a visit.
I've never been to the Toronto one. The Boston one was amazing and came with a whale tour so that was a slam dunk for me. I've never actually heard that Toronto has an aquarium (and i'm from Canada) so that might not bode well for it.
I’ve only been to the aquarium in Boston and it was amazing. It’s a huge circular tank containing amazing creatures and you walk a winding path around it to the top. Many more exhibits around the tank too. Great gift shop.
I have never been to Toronto. If you are going to the one in Boston, choose a weekday.
Hands down Ripley in Toronto! We’ve done both. Ripley is new, better layout, really cool hands on exhibits, a step on step off conveyor belt to keep people moving easily and flow well, awesome indoor kids play area. Boston seems dated without the same excitement or variety.
