What are the chances of seeing whales in early June?
The odds of seeing whales in June are high. Though there are no guarantees with nature, we see whales on virtually every trip. On one trip last June (the 25th) we saw 54 humpbacks and a gray whale. June is also a great time for breeding seabirds on the Farallon Islands, so you will see hundreds of thousands of seabirds from various species. Dolphins, harbor porpoises, seals and sea lions are also regularly encountered. You can see past sightings reports on our website to get a sense for what we see at different times of the year. Thanks for your interest!
not sure we were there in September, but it was an amazing trip and they go until they see them as it is partly scientific research
