I have a few questions. For tent camping with water and electric hookups, what is the limit to the number of tents and vehicles at each site? Do each of the sites have picnic tables assigned to them and if they do are they wood or concrete? Are the campsites within walking distance of the beach or do you have to drive to the beach? Are there showers on the beach or only back at the park?
Sorry for all the questions, but I like to know what to expect.
Not sure on the max # of tents for electric/water area but on beach, I've seen quite a few people with multiple tents and don't recall a limit; the island pretty much has the vibe of you pay and do as you wish within limits. The park rangers pretty much leave you to your own leisure. There are are tables on beach that are wood and for electric area not sure; the are fine to use. We've been in summer peak season and post spring break end of March . We recommend off seasons because you get the whole beach and access to everything with no waiting. Showers on beach are just rinse off, the main showers are near water/electric area; always wear shower shoes! They give you a permit to hang in car so you can go to and from beach if you need to leave for supplies or go to dinner. Beach is very clean! Jelly fish and coral varies; usually it's one or the other depending on when you visit; safest beach in my opinion. Also having free reign to make fires on the beach is awesome. Beach is walking distance from electric/ water . Def be sure to bring your supplies and food with you, once you get to Cc area the prices are ridiculous . If you want dinner, we recommend Padre Pizza , it's really close and great pizza
We did not camp there, but yes the campsites are within walking distance to the beach.
I am not familiar with the camping rules. I only stay in hotels or condos. I am sorry but have a good time for me.
did not see anything available. We drove in and since we had a dog they wanted us to leave. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
I believe the tent camping is right on the beach, but it is primitive. The showers/bathrooms are close by. We were in an RV and those sites had a picnic table. I think it was concrete, but I'm not sure.
Sites are paved, can't remember if table was wooden or cement; easy few minutes walk to beach; no bathrooms at beach but you can actually drive on the beach with your car. Saw a number of tents on the beach which was neat. Really clean beach. This is second year we've been there, always in winter (Dec.-Jan.-Feb.)
and we love all the good restaurants and music in Port Aransus, esp. The Venetian Plate.
There are two possible camping places here: on the beach(no electric or water) or in the park(with electric and water). We camped on the beach. The park camping area is very much at a walking distance from the beach. They have showers near the park camping area but they are walkable from beach as well. On the beach there are wooden picnic tables but they are not assigned. Reach early to get one of those. The place seemed big enough but I'd suggest calling them in advance if you want to camp in the park area and not on the beach. Have a wonderful trip!
