It's just a show up and wander through kind of place. I'm sure if you wanted a guided tour for a group or special event they could arrange it.

When we visited, the tram tour was only on Thursday morning at 10. This would be nice if you can't walk well for whatever reason.

Both! They have a guided train tour in the morning. If you want a guided tour I am sure the can arrange it. At a certain time in the year, they do a demonstration on making butter, soap, wear period garb and more. Plan about 4 hours walking around at leisurely pace. I think the outside closes at around 4.

However, the inside exhibits are in air conditioned rooms. I could spend a full day reading and absorbing the inside exhibits and demonstrations. I had a broken ankle and they had a spare wheel chair I could use.
