Where would be the best place to park and hop on the trolley? (Without paying little to nothing at all)
You could have brunch or lunch at Rustic, then walk the block to the trolley, keeping your car in Rustic's parking lot IF you're planning to be back up that way to either eat dinner at Rustic or move your car at/just before dinnertime.
This question has been previously answered, with several good suggestions. Mortons restaurant shares a parking lot with Pei Wei. Parking there is free, but crowded. We rodethe line while staying in one of the hotels in the area, which proved wonderful
I agree with the West Village area. There are several parking garages, although a little difficult to navigate during peak retail times, they are free. You would want to get on the Cole Street line to start the loop at the beginning, but no biggie if you start on the McKinney Side.
The only street or garage parking I can think of that is near the trolley route would be in the West Village area. There are a few public garages there, as well as occasional street parking near the cityplace turnaround.
