Battleship New Jersey Questions & Answers

Closes at 5 in the summertime.... Does that mean the last tickets are sold at 5 or that the ship is emptied by 5? Why is this info so hard to track down?

5 PM is the latest time that you can start your tour. Most guests complete the Fire Power Tour in 90 minutes, so most guests finish their tour by 6:30.

If I remember right the ship closes at 5pm or until the last guest leaves the ship.

UPDATE

I called to clarify and (in the summer) they sell tickets until 5:00. Visitors can stay on the ship until 7:00.

I do believe that the ship doesn't allow anymore visitors on board after 5.. You might be better off questioning them on line or calling their office. Policies tend to changes with seasons.

The ship also closed at 5 PM in the winter, which meant you had to be off by then. As others noted, give yourself a couple hours to see everything. Very cool.

We were there on a Boy Scout overnight so I'm not sure about times for regular visitors. Call them.

I'm pretty sure that means the ship and all exhibits close at 5pm, so for the self-guided tour, you should get your tickets by 3:30pm at the latest -- they recommend 90 minutes for the self-guided tour, but after talking with staff and exploring exhibits for myself, I usually budget 2-3 hours, but that's me.

I'm sorry but I really can't answer that. I was there for a special group function in the evening so I really can't speak for public hours. I agree with auntjj_12 that you're probably best to call the ticket office and speak with someone directly to get the right answer. Good luck!

I would just call them. The ticket office is not just a shack so if you call during business hours I am sure someone nice will answer the phone. (856) 966-1652
