I plan on taking a day trip to Gloucester when I visit Boston in April. How close is this restaurant to the MBTA station?
In this case, the MBTA means the train from North Station, and I am not sure where the station is in Gloucester but it is not very near the harbor area of Gloucester where the restaurant is. You would likely need to take a taxi from the train. Alternatively, the smaller seaside town next to Gloucester, Rockport ( a very fun place with its own harbor, shops, galleries. small beaches and many restaurants) is close to the train station. I took the train from Boston years ago and enjoyed a mostly scenic ride to Rockport . It took about an hour.
It is a short walk to this place. It is in the downtown area on Main Street, perhaps 5 blocks.
Sugar Magnolia's is about a half mile walk from the MBTA Commuter Rail station. We live near the station and walk all over downtown Gloucester and the waterfront all the time. The Fisherman's statue is about a mile from the station. Lots of taxis are available if need be.
