Hi we are coming here from the UK 23rd December til 6th January 2018- I'm unsure really as to what to pack- it's going to be considerably warmer than the UK - will it be sunbathing weather and will it be warm enough to swim etc- also are most places open Christmas Day? Thank you
Googling average temps for that time reveals it'll probably be between 16 (night) and 26 centigrade (day). The ocean temps are chilly even in the summer. Most of their pools, however, are heated.
I would take a mix of lightweight long sleeves, short sleeves and a jacket for night time.
I live in south east Florida (sub tropical) and the Keys are even warmer (tropical) At the that time of year it will still be very warm without the humidity! You may want to pack a light sweater/jacket for dining in air condition. The Keys are extremely casual, shorts everywhere. You will definitely be able to swim in ocean and pools. It is a resort everything will be open on Christmas and because the Keys are tourist driven other venues should be open as well. It is a great resort - enjoy!
