my wife and I are going to there Nov1-4 and it seems several places are closed that week. can anyone recommend a breakfast, lunch and dinner place that will be open. Also any fun activities to do? we've been told skiing isn't open until after we leave which is fine.
I heard that Loveland ski resort which is close is open as well as A-basin which is closer. The restaurants in the Lodge are open, but Silverthorne/Lake Dillon area is what I would yelp to find food that you like. Thing to do, there are plenty of activites from walking around the lake to playing indoor tennis. I would just check the keystone activities on the website, also breckenridge is close there are many store there and in Silverthorne there is the outlet mall, and you can always spend time at Lake Dillon.
Pretty much everything is open year round. There are several local restaurants that take vacation in the fall but it varies. You'll just need to call the restaurant to check or look at their website. Most of the time the fall varies from cool and sunny to snow! I'd stay at a condo so that you don't have to worry about breakfast places. If you already have a hotel reservation often they will have a mini fridge or will put one in the room for you. Unless there is a heavy snow usually you can still do a lot of walking and hiking. Take hiking poles to help with your stability. Waterproof boots are good too. If there is enough snow you might be able to snowshoe which is also really fun. Have a great time!
