Hello! I would say the average tip per person is $5 - $10. It is generally about 10% of the shuttle fare. If you are riding with CME Premier, private transportation options, driver gratuity of 15% is included in the rates.

I am a CME Driver and we are only paid $10 an hour by Vail resorts. Yes only $10/hr for bringing their guests (who are going to spend thousands of dollars) to their places, safely, over the most treacherous roads in Colorado. We depend on the tips and expect them to be equal to that of dining out or taking a taxi -20% minimum please-For great service, something I always provide my guests.

Yes, 10% is OK, remember the driver has your life in his hands, especially in snow conditions. Luggage amount counts. I don't like to drive I70 anytime so be generous to these hard working professionals. Get to know drivers they have lots of good info and tips. I've ridden CME plenty DEN to Glenwood both ways, never missed a flight, it's only way to go gate to door and back.
