I called the Oxford last night to get 3 rooms for wedding and wanted to pay in advance to take advantage of the 25% off Special. The lady told me that I had to upgrade the room to do so. Fair enough, but I needed to hear back on more people before I made the purchase. I finally got my answer and called today, and was told that the 25% off is only Monday through Thursday deal. I read the Oxfords website and it says NOTHING about upgrading rooms OR having to stay Monday through Thursday. This sounds very sketchy to me. Why was I told 2 different things, and why does the website say nothing about either? I'm getting ready to pay over a grand for rooms and put Oxford in our invites as a recommendation, but not if this is what my guests will run into. Please advise...

no clue.. when i booked online, i also called ahead to be sure my 2 dogs were allowed ( our house was being fumigated, we all had to be out for 4 days) i wanted a suite MEANING 2 SEPERATE rooms, i tried to make very clear on the site that my landlord and i will NOT be wanting to sleep in same room at all.. they assured me it was a suite.. their idea of a suite is not 2 separate adjoining rooms, but one lon room with a sliding door but the couch/bed in the main part was not something a human would want to sleep on, more for dogs. my landlord and i had to scramble last minute, one of the days they didn't have a room for him, that kinda upset me a bit..
my suggestion to the hotel, please let people know ( especially when someone asks your staff)that 'suite' isn't 2 rooms. its one room,seperated. i also thought i was booking the family suite, because my landlord and i do NOT share a bed/room, i have my own room here.
i hope the hotel can explain to people a bit better that the rooms are not 2 motel rooms with a door that locks, but one room, sectioned off... i hope that made sense..hehe
