Is there any public transport from Monterey to Henry Cowell Park. We're not driving this trip but would love to visit the park
Thanks
There is a bus that goes from Santa Cruz to the park.. and you can also take greyhound from Monterey to Santa Cruz if that helps?!
It is about 4 miles from Santa Cruz. No direct bus to the park. Uber or taxi takes about 7 minutes - uber about $15, taxi about $25. Would not recommend driving since you are not from the US - the two-lane highway to the park is treacherous.
We took the #35A bus from Santa Cruz. Get off at Felton Fair. Cross the road and walk to the park about 10 minutes via the covered bridge or Roaring Camp railroad.
We rented a car for our time in the area. Parking was not difficult to find. GPS was a must for us though.
Use an ober. If you’ve not used it before it’s great. Easy to use. Cost effective.
better rent a car
places to visit are far apart
Best to rent a car
It looks like uber would probably be the fastest according to google maps most of the bus options take about 4 hours
I honestly do not think so but you could rent a car and drive up and visit all in one day. You would even have time to visit Santa Cruz, Capitola or go to Mystery Spot, Roaring Camp Railroad or Big Foot Museum the same day.
