Not that I noticed when we were there June 2017
No fence or card-key entry if that is what you are looking for. When my family and I were there over Christmas, there was a 'patrol' presence. This patrol made sure traffic went a certain way and people weren't parking illegally. It did make me feel more comfortable being out of state and seeing patrolmen in the parking lot.
No, it's not fenced. Not sure if it's patrolled or not. I know the main desk closes completely rather early, I believe it was 8:00. When we were there a family slept in the lobby since they couldn't check in. I felt safe there and not concerned with fencing. And I knew enough to always Check what time the front desk closes. Have fun!
No fence; not aware of any monitoring.
It is not fenced, but it appears to be monitored.
As others have stated not fenced, typical hotel parking lot and I don't recall seeing any patrols or security guards. I left a couple of personal belongings in my vehicle when we did the overnight at south rim and wasn't concerned at all.
The parking lot seemed safe enough but it is not fenced nor is there any security.
