All our rooms are pet friendly; the upstairs rooms usually have the smaller dogs in them. We do not have carpeting in the rooms or common areas, just throw rugs. We do a deep cleaning after each stay. In 14 years we have not had a complaint pertaining to allergies. Please call us!

I recently visited The El Portal solo without a pet. My room was immaculate and had no trace of a pet being there previously. The owners are very helpful and I'm sure will do their best for you.

I suggest contacting the hotel about specific rooms. All pets that we saw were clean and well behaved, did not hear any barking. Sedona is very dog friendly and we enjoy that part of traveling.

We went solo too! I thought it was too hot to take my dog. The rooms we stayed in (1 & 7) were clean and any pet residue not obvious. We saw other pets at the hotel even a cat that lived there. No problems with barking or behavior from the four legged guests. Nowadays, if you suffer from allergies or are a germaphobe like me, it doesn't matter what hotel you stay in , you're always a bit leery. Enjoy! Regards, Peter from Santa Fe.

The dogs here have always been well behaved and quiet. I have never heard any noise from a dog in an adjacent room. I don't know if they have pet free rooms. Best to call the hotel.

There was a pup in the room next to ours, and we only knew that because we saw the guest taking him into the room. I think pets are generally quiet there. But I do not know about "pet-free" rooms - you should call the hotel about that
