I went on a tour and was informed that people are able to book a dinner inside the Sammy Marks
museum and eat using the utensils from that day.
Is this still available? If so who can I contact for more information?
I am so very sorry I missed your question, Noah.
You can indeed book a special dinner served in the old kitchen of the Museum, as a matter of fact, on the old staff table, next to the gigantic iron coal stove. Set menu arranged with owner of Rose Garden Caterers, Werner Weinbeck, the very first Cocktail Mixer to come to SA Boulevard Hotel back in the sixties (remember, at that time only Five star hotels served ladies in bars!)... hope you manage to secure a booking, its pretty special!
Hi Noah, I apologise for only seeing this message now.... I should be more attentive to this site :)
There is a restaurant venue outside on the lawn but unfortunately they do not use the utensils from the day. They do however have a small shop where some oldies and copies thereof are for sale.
Hope this post is not too late.
