Hello! Please help resolve following questions:
1) What is the best time to visit?
2) What time of the year has least rains?
3) I am considering travelling 2nd week of June but have mixed reviews regarding amount of rains around that time.
4) Planning to travel with hubby for 3 nights, after that would like to also stay at a nice fancy hotel as well, driving distance from Samasati. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!
Dear Kajal V,
We are located on the south Caribbean coast of Costa Rica and therefore enjoy a very different climate compared to the rest of the country. As a matter of fact, Samasati, which sits on a mountain perch overlooking the sea, has it's own microclimate. Year round we get rain showers overnight, early morning or late afternoon. These showers do not last long and on the mountain we enjoy slightly cooler temperatures than directly on the beach. Nonetheless, we do get slightly more rain in July and December. The second week of June should be excellent with warm water in the Caribbean as well. We recommend a stay at the new luxury villas at Banana Azul as the perfect compliment to our rainforest sanctuary experience. They are directly on the water and a little closer to the town of Puerto Viejo.
