Does the restaurant cater for vegetarians (no meat, fish or eggs)? If not, are there places to eat nearby?
I'm sure you can always ask them to prepare it for you.
The retreat is so involved with making their guests happy that I am sure the will accommodate all diet restrictions. They have a shuttle into town that is available when needed as well. A lot of Chinese foods are vegetarian so you should have no trouble.
I don't know the answer, but they're very obliging and I'm sure, as the other correspondents say, they will cater for you. We only ate breakfast there. It's a bit out of the town - too far to walk - for alternative restaurants and it's a bit of a hike to the next village where there are a couple of restaurants...
Absolutely! My daughter is a vegetarian... They whipped up several dishes for her. Stirred fried veggies with rice/noodles were her fav. Very accommodating!
The restaurant is very good and I'm sure they could do a vegetarian meal. Staff's English is also very good so there shouldn't be a problem communicating what you want. They are an eco-style lodge striving for sustainability and grow a lot of their own vegetables and herbs. There is no restaurant nearby that's walkable.
