Do I have to buy a ticket just to explore the shrine on my own? I understand that the tours cost money but is that the only way I can see it, or are you able to just go and visit the shrine for free? Thank you!
It’s free to visit! And you definitely don’t need a tour to get there, just get to the closest stations ( I don’t remember the names) but you can rely on google maps, it’s really accurate. Hope that helps!
We don’t have to pay to get in shrine, please take JR Nara line and stop at Inari station and walk down, just ask people around or use google map to get there. Don’t get confuse this is big shrine so we have to walk up stairs behind shrine to see the orange/red gate. Please check map on left side of shrine to see the entire shrine map. Have fun :)
The shrine is very near to two train stations, getting there should not be an issue. We used google map to guide us which is quite accurate.
This shrine does not charge any admission fee, and it is good to reach the shrine earlier cause we reach there a little late so it was very crowded.
It is free!
No, you do not have to pay.
