If you want to see China Town then go, it worth it. Be wary of anyone approaching you if you get off the ferry boat at the China Town stop, if they say china town is closed due to the kings birthday , ignore them its never closed. They say that as a scam to get you to pay for a tuk tuk to the shopping centre nearby.

Like the name, Chinatown is more skewed towards Chinese merchandise and Chinese food. Depending on your budget, I’d recommend the platinum mall/market near Central world. Irrespective of where you go, remember to wear your bargaining charm as in my experience, it’s a bargaining center. Good luck!
