With your ticket you get an illustrated leaflet with map and short description of the most interesting rooms. Also, as you tour the rooms THERE ARE explanations on stands both on Polish and English. It's enough if you're not interested to tiny details.

You can buy an audio guide at start, but I personally didn't find it necessary, and it's more time consuming.

You should take the guide to really have info and history about the castle, the country and the painting. Otherwise , it will only be to see paintings and rooms without any insights

I don't believe there was anything in English, but if you have a tour book, it is sufficient. The Castle is a reproduction of the original that was totally destroyed in WWII. I found it interesting, but really nothing more than that. The Castle in Krakow, on the other hand, is the original, as are the furnishings. Enjoyed it much more.
