Hello am staying at the Jewish quarter of krakow in August, just wondering where to buy tickets for auschwitz, either at home before flying out or in krakow
the simplest way is by internet at Aushwitz site
I've just been to auschwitz 1 and 2. I turned up at the info centre at 7.30 in the morning and got my free ticket without a guide. Best way if you want to take your time and go at your own pace. After you have seen auschwitz 1 there is a free bus to auschwitz 2
We booked our tickets online beforehand through Viator. We did the combined tour with the Salt mines. It is a long 10 hour day but well worth it. Viator picked us up from our Airbnb & dropped us back nearby, our English tour guide for Auschwitz was excellent.
I have visited krakow twice and each time booked my tickets from viator before I went strongly recommend you do this as same price but you can ore book time you wish to go book early morning trip as takes about 50 minutes to get there and back you can book hotel pick up which is better they pick u up and drop u off hotel it’s a long day as you will be about 6 hours all in look on viator for the tour with hotel pick up
We bought our tickets online, before we left for Poland.
We used Krakow tours - can not fault them
Airport transfers
Salt mines
Austwich and birkenau
Lovely friendly staff
But before you go have been krakow twice was there again July we booked through aviator as used before got hotel pick up everything was smooth and we were dropped off back hotel and also get like 7-45 trip as gets u back at after 4 afternoon as do later not back to like 8 at night
We booked through Discover Krakow on the TripAdvisor site - straightforward and a bit cheaper.
We booked ours with krakow tours before we went, it’s a private hire, they pick up at your hotel, and takes you to both camps, and a tour guide is included, we also had the same company pick us up at the airport, they were very good
Hi, we bought the tour tickets from Discover Krakow through TripAdvisor. Just remember, that you have to confirm the pickup time a day or before the trip (our hotel helped!).
Cheers
Buy before you go or ask hotel to book you a ticket.
To buy it on line is easier, but Birkenau, is free and less crowded and easy to park. It has less soul slicing artifacts, but was good enough for me to loose my sleep for a while. I did not use a guide, but there are plenty of them in both Birkenau and Auschwitz.
If you are to arrive by self driving paid attention that the guided tour starts at Awshwitz one while the navigators will lead you to the Aushwitz Birkenau parking than you have to take a free shuttle to Awshwitz one
