Does the train run from the airport to kazimierz at night? Is it safe
The train from the airport does not run to Kazimierz but to the main railway station, not far from the central market square. From the station you can probably take a tram to the Jewish quarter. See information and timetables on the website of Krakau public transport "jakdojade".
Attention with the train : in november 2017 there were railway works and many trains did not run or where replaced by a bus. The train was not very frequent either (every 30 min) so I did not use it. See information on their website.
I have no idea if the train is safe at night.
For your comfort I would advise to book a taxi transfer from the airport direct to your destination in town. It takes about 30 min. and will cost around 25 € (90 PLN).
The comments above are correct. Will you be taking a taxi first to your hotel? Probably a good idea to visit following day to find your way around. Then in the evening walk to the Kazimierz district.
If you like klezmer music some restaurants have music while you dine and drink. Not too expensive either.
I found the tourist agencies very helpful with free maps and explanations. Thee are small tourist cabs and horse drawn carriages to use.
Krakow is very safe in my opinion people helpful and friendly

??? Sorry I cant get out of this app without answering and I do not know.
take a taxi...
I am sorry but I don't know, however there is a tourist desk which would be able to give you all that information. You could e mail them ahead of time if you wanted to plan ahead. We felt very safe at night, and you do see a high police presence, not intimidating though. I believe it is a hen and stag destination which probably accounts for that, but again when we were there in August we did not see much evidence of that. I am sure you will have a great time, it is a great destination, take plenty of tissues as parts are very emotional.
The train (you can buy the ticket on the train) from the airport goes to the main station in Krakow. There are taxis, trams & buses from there. (don't forget that the tickets on buses and trams have to be validated on them, by stamping them in the machines on the vehicles). Also, depending on what time of the day it is you can even walk from the main station, depending where your hotel is, about 30/40 minutes. I personally would take a cab. we use either of these icar Taxis or Mega Taxis when we are in Krakow.
I don’t believe so but once you are in Kraków you can get a taxi or an Uber from the station it’s not that expensive.
I’m afraid I have no idea. We took an Uber.
to my knowledge the train doesn't run to the Jewish Quarter but it's really safe and brings you into the heart of Krakow from the airport,8 Zlotys and you pay on board of train.
Hope this helps from Neil
