Is it a steep walk up to the castle? Difficult?
It’s not a steep walk, there is different entrances to the castle both have an incline but not steep, a gentle stroll should be sufficient to reach the castle grounds.
There is a slope to climb up but not to steep.
There is a lot of walking involved; however, I don’t recall very steep paths. When you first arrived, there are some steps, but once you’re inside, its very flat.
Yes it is fairly steep & it can be slippery where the stones have been worn smooth by the number of visitors that have walked over them.
Yes it is a fairly steep gradient. The road combines both shallow rise steps and the central part is the road/ ramp.
For those assisting wheelchair users careful selection of footwear is essential particularly damp early mornings or rainfall. This is due to paviors having smooth surfaces - just take care.
Good advice below - check attractions disability access provisions not all seemed very accessible for mobility limited individuals.
Its a gentle steady climb with a not too steep gradient. Take it steady and enjoy the views on your way up. Well worth it at the top. You could easily spend a good few hours here alone, there is also a cafe up at the castle so you can sit and take a break with great coffee and cake.
It is very very steep but do-able slowly. My friend walks with crutches and she managed it with care and at snail’s pace. It’s impossible for sole wheelchair users but just about manageable if someone is pushing the chair. Whatever you do though, make sure you mow which attractions you want to visit before joining the queue for tickets
You can walk slowly' it is not too dificult
It's a gentle climb. And it's worth it! Nice view from the hill top, interesting historic buildings.
