My booking calls this hotel the outback pioneer hotel by ibis, but it seems to be the same place - does anyone know why this is?
It's just the chain that manages the hotels. There's only one Outback Pioneer in Ayer's Rock. Unless you're backpacking and want to use the kitchen to cook, stay at one of the other hotels at Ayer's Rock. Both are much nicer. The pictures are misleading.
There is only one Outback Pioneer Hotel. I was very happy to stay there. It was clean, comfortable, quiet and best of all it was cheaper than the other, more flashy hotels. I would definately stay there again.
Hi, Ibis is an international chain. There's only one Outback Pioneer in the small community Yulara is. As some of the others wrote, this is a basic backpackers place. But prices in Yulara are generally high, and availability limited. You must decide for yourself... We hope you enjoy your trip! Try to spend more time in Kata Tjuta and Uluru national park than in the hotel or hostel!
No matter by what name or chain you call it this by far cheapest solution within Ayers Rock area. Then there's many options when booking for a stay, from luxury to budget accommodation, according to availability. See what they have available and keep in mind that anything else will be a lot more expensive as time goes by!
Ibis Hotels are a company of hotels, of which the Outback Pioneer may be one.
As per the previous response, yes there is only one outback pioneer hotel. It's probably the cheaper of all the hotel accommodation within Ayers Rock resort. If this doesn't bother you then it's still a pretty good place to stay. It is the only place within Ayers Rock resort that allows takeaway alcohol like beer and wine, to your room, outside of room service.
Remember, whilst staying at Ayers Rock resort you can utilise the facilities of all the resort hotels.
