Has anyone stayed at this hotel during June or July for a walking holiday? My friend and I are considering taking a holiday to this hotel and area but I am concerned it maybe too hot and heavy rain. I would appreciate any advice before I book the trip. Also is it a fabulous area for walking, we are quite good walkers for distance, are the walks steep? Many thanks for any help.

I have not stayed here yet (going mid Sept) but having been to several other villages in July/August, I would say it can get very hot with heavy thunderstorms. I would say avoid central Europe in the summer if you can. We now visit the likes of Prague/Budapest in spring when it is cooler now that we are no longer tied to our jobs! Have a look at past weather averages on a web site to get an idea.
