I'm Prabhjot Singh looking forward to my swiss holiday starting next week. I'm considering this property to stay 3 nights. My key area of interest would be Interlaken and I would be dependent on Public Transport System. Would be holding Swiss Rail Pass. Please revert with details on commuting to Interlaken and also the last service available.
Swiss railways are a delight. They exceed any system in Britain or India.
Interlaken should be only one of your destinations.
Take the mountain railway from Wengen to the top of Europe at Jungfraujoch
through the Eiger. Go to Grindevald passing under the face of the Eiger and on to Interlaken. See Murren by train-- a cable car from Lauterbrunnen then a charming
Mountain train. My bet is this will equal any experience by train in Shimla or Machu Picchu. Alan Anderson
The hotel is about 5 minutes walk from Wengen station and when we were there in March, trains to/from Interlaken ran every 30 minutes or so. Journey time is about 45 minutes, though not sure what time the last train is - should be easy to find details online.
The train system runs like a "swiss clock". While in Wengen I would like to suggest you try the Golden India restaurant.
Hi Prabhjot.. can you share you experience at the hotel? We are also booked for 3 nights in August
