Once I land in Basel, what is the process to get to your hotel?
all written below is absolutly right. We do not have a shuttle to or from the Airport but bus and tram are perfect. You do not need to buy a ticket. You get a ticket once arrivimg at the Hotel. If somebody asks you for a ticket on your way to the Hotel just show your booking confirmation instead. It is valid as a ticket. Looking forward to having you here.
Exit Basel airport out the Switzerland exit, not the France exit (they are marked). Wait curbside for bus which goes to Basel train station. Bus 50, there is only one bus so you can't get the wrong one. The main train station is near city center with lots of trams all around. It's obvious (Basel banhoff). Get off bus there and walk across to tram stops and look at the tram map. Find the one that stops at Marketplatz(8 or 11). It is the route that goes towards the river, near old part of town, not back past the train station. Get off at Marketplatz and walk up short hill(behind coffee and choc shops) to hotel. This is all "free" public transport. You should have a mobility card (hotel gives out) but no one is checking or asking for fares on the bus or trams. There is a manned kiosk in the airport if you want to buy a daily city mobility ticket, but I've never seen anyone checked in my 10+ trips to Basel. If you get the wrong tram or go the wrong way just get off at a stop, cross the street, and get the same tram going back in the opposite direction. They all run back-forth. Alternative is to take a taxi from the airport but be prepared to spend $50-75 for it. They are crazy expensive. blt.ch/en/travel/timetable/network-basel.html
Take bus from airport to Basel Bahnhoff train station. We took an Uber from there to Hotel Basel for 10 CHF.
Take a cab, it's not that much. Probably 40 Euro i think it was for us. Maybe 10 min. drive, maybe. We stayed in the old town section. Train might be better for hotel somewhere else perhaps.
You take the bus from the Swiss side of the airport to the train station. Then take the tram to the closest stop to your hotel. It is free with a hotel reservation.
I don't think the hotel offers shuttle, service we just rented a private one from Suntransfers and they were fantastic!
