Hi,Have bought some vouchers for a lodge stay,as our mam will be with us and a bit wobbly on her feet is it "far" across the road from main hotel,Do lodges have lift or will need to book ground floor lodge??Is it possible to get balcony room on ground floor lodge. Many thanks.anne
We were on the ground floor in the lodge. you can drop your mum to front door and then park. literally across the road. There are some steps as its lower but you can take it slowly down the driveway if you prefer.
Rooms on ground floor and also lift to higher floor so no problem where you get your room. Hotel reception is literally across the road. Your mother should be able for it but as it is on a "blind" bend I wouldn't let her cross alone.
Hello, I stayed just the other day. It's about 200 metres to the. Aim hotel but is a little up there and downhill (obviously) back. There are ground floor rooms with balconies in the lodge.
Ask for a room on the ground floor facing the river these have patio doors that open and you can see the river. The balcony is only small and has only standing space (no room for table and chairs). The hotel is about 100metres from the lodge and as mentioned from a traveller earlier is uphill from lodge to hotel however a one minute drive from lodge to hotel reception. If this is your first time here you will really enjoy the scenery and location of the lodge.Have a lovely stay.
Hi,the lodge has a lift, not sure about balcony on the ground floor,it is a little walk across the road and down through the car park into reception, steps down to reception also
You can drive between both buildings, the lodges are directly across from the hotel itself, but they are situated at a much lower level that the hotel, so the walk back across to the hotel is all uphill.
The lodge building is just two storeys so I'm sure you could request a ground floor one.
